Tony Anticole, founder and principal

Tony’s fascination with manager effectiveness began after the 2008 financial crisis, when across a three-year period he observed four different managers lead the same group of people and achieve very different outcomes.

Prior to founding Varna Group, Tony worked at Corporate Executive Board (CEB, now part of Gartner), where he led a best practice membership organization developing insights, advice, and benchmarks for marketing executives. Later he followed his passion and joined CEB Leadership Academies to develop leaders in Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies.

His career has included both revenue and operations roles of increasing levels of responsibility, giving him a holistic perspective on how an enterprise operates, grows, and thrives.

He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BS in finance with a secondary focus in speech communication from the Penn State Smeal College of Business.
